Track & Field, Cross Country (1967-72)
Peter Sinnott was a track and cross country letterman between 1968 and 1972 and at one time held eight Nevada track records. His 1:48.2 time in the 800 meters in 1972 still stood as the longest existing individual University of Nevada Track record when he was inducted into the Nevada Athletics Hall of Fame. He was also a member of Nevada’s school record sprint and distance relay teams, marks that still stand today. He ran on the 1968 NCAA Division II national championship and West Coast conference championship cross country team that saw its title taken away due to ineligible student-athletes.
