One of the PGA Tour’s most consistent players, Kirk Triplett competed as a member of the Wolf Pack men’s golf team from 1981-85. He earned third-team Academic All-America honors in 1984 and was an honorable-mention All-America selection in 1983 and 1984. A four-time Big Sky Conference All-Academic selection, he was named Nevada’s Big Sky Scholar-Athlete in 1984. He earned All-Big Sky honors three years (1981, 1983, 1984) and helped the Wolf Pack to the 1984 Big Sky championship and runner-up conference finishes three times (1981-83). He also participated in the NCAA Championships as an individual in 1983 and 1984.

Triplett graduated with distinction with a degree in civil engineering in 1985 and joined the PGA Tour in 1989. He ranked among the PGA’s top 50 money winners five times and has made over $14 million in his career. 2000 was his finest season to date, as Triplett amassed more than $1.5 million in prize money. He is a three-time winner on the PGA Tour, winning the 2000 Nissan Open, the 2003 Reno-Tahoe Open and the 2006 Chrysler Classic of Tucson. He has played in 501 career PGA Tour events and made the cut in 330 of them. He was a member of the winning U.S. Presidents Cup team in 2000, going 3-0-1 to help lead his U.S. team to victory, and is currently playing on the Champions Tour where he has won four tournaments. Triplett founded the Fore Adoption Foundation, which helps to educate the community on the adoption process and defray costs associated with adopting. He also works closely with the Dave Thomas Foundation to promote adoption and hosted the Dave Thomas Desert Classic tournament to raise money for the organization.
