Swimming (1977-79)
Ann Belikow Ballatore earned Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (AIAW) All-America honors for three years (1977-79). She competed in the AIAW National Championships those three years and led the 1979 Nevada team to the national championship. She scored 77 points for the Wolf Pack at that meeting, setting national records in the 50 and 100 meter breaststroke and winning individual national championships in three events (50, 100 and 200 meter breaststroke). At the time of her induction in the Hall of Fame, she was still the university pool record holder in those three events as well as the individual medley. She was named the University of Nevada female athlete of the year in 1979 and was a finalist for the prestigious Sullivan Trophy for United States female athlete of the year.
