Football (1976-79)
Jeff Wright played wide receiver for Hall of Fame Coach Chris Ault in a four-year career from 1976 through 1979. When he finished his career, he held every Nevada pass catching record. He still ranks in the Nevada top 10 for career catches (175), yards gained receiving (3,034) and receiving touchdowns (27). He was named All-Big Sky Conference in his senior season, his team’s first year in that conference. In the years Wright was a team member, the Wolf Pack went 35-11 and made two appearances in the I-AA Playoffs (1978 and ’79). Wright left his hometown of Vacaville, Calif., and now resides in Richmond, Calif. He currently teaches at Pinole (Calif.) Valley High School and also services as the athletic director and golf coach.
