Hall of Fame
Led the Nevada rifle team for 24 seasons from 1995 to 2019 when the University decided to discontinue the program… led the team in its entire NCAA era… his team qualified for the NCAA Rifle Championships eight times during his tenure (2002-2006, 2008, 2009, 2012)… finished as the NCAA runner-up in 2004… was named the College Rifle Coaches Association Coach of the Year in 2003 when his team finished fourth at the NCAA Championships… also saw nine individuals qualify for the NCAA Championships… helped Nevada host the 2005 NCAA Championship at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs.. coached Hall of Famer Ryan Tanoue to the 2002 NCAA individual air rifle championship… coaches 11 student-athletes to 26 All-America certificates in his 24-year tenure, including four-time All-Americans Mitchell Van Patten and Ryan Tanoue… two of his student-athletes have been inducted in the Nevada Athletics Hall of Fame (Tanoue and Meghann Morrill)… consistently donated considerable personal funds to his program and saw his program ranked among the top academic performers in the athletics department.
