Football (1925-26), Board of Athletic Control
Slim but wiry and tough, Harry Frost never exceeded 150 pounds but played four seasons as halfback under Coach Buck Shaw, his lifelong friend. He was an active student at the University of Nevada, serving as student body president before graduating in 1927. In the ensuring years, Frost contributed much to the University, especially as chairman of the Athletic Board in the 1930s and 1940s. He helped Nevada build its sports dynasty in the 1940s and helped many student-athletes personally and through his business, the Reno Printing Company. The Wolf Pack boosters honored his contributions at the Governor’s Dinner in 1973, while he also served as the president of the Reno Chamber of Commerce and the Reno Rodeo Association.
