Salt Lake City, Utah - The Nevada Cross Country programs rounded out their 2025 campaigns, Friday, at the NCAA Cross Country Mountain Regional. The men placed 18th with 511 points and the women placed 16th with 458 points.
The women opened the day at the NCAA Mountain Regional, racing the 6k and finishing 16th as a team. Leading the Pack was Natalia Martino, who placed 76th with a time of 22:33.5. Aubrey Thompson followed in 88th at 22:49.4, while Madelyn Shipman crossed in 92nd with a time of 23:04.5. Rounding out the Pack's top five were Kylee Denver in 101st, with a time of 23:26.7 and Natalie Roberts in 110th, with a time of 23:54.9. Skylar Bennett finished 116th in 24:19.7, and Paulina Hultberg closed out the lineup in 119th with a time of 24:41.1.
The men took on the 10k course and placed 18th overall, highlighted by Austin Key, finishing 83rd with a personal best of 33:13.9, which ranks as the 16th fastest 10k time in program history. Eddie Yunker also delivered a strong performance, placing 100th with a personal best of 34:04.8. Soma Baligad was next in 108th, with a time of 34:44.1, followed by Jackson Hammons in 110th, with a time of 34:51.6. Pierce Simpkins finished 115th with a time of 35:33.8, and freshman Elijah Chavez capped the effort in 116th, running a collegiate personal best of 36:13.6.
This concludes competition for both cross country programs for the 2025 season.
