REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (Fall 2024) - Competed in three meets during his junior season... Ran a personal best time of 24:06.8 in the 4.5 mile at the George Kyte Classic, placing 24th, his best finish of the season... Ran a personal best time of 25:27.7 at the UCR Cross Country Invitational... Ran a 26:25.1 in the 8k at the Bill Dellinger Invitational.

REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2023) - Competed in four meets ... Made his season debut at the Mountain Regional Preview in the 10K running a personal record time of 36:40.0 ... Ran a time of 25:43.3 in the 8K at the UCR Highlander Invitational ... Ran a 26:15.2 at the Mountain West Championships ... Placed 111th (32:28.5) at the NCAA Mountain Regional Championships. 

FRESHMAN (2022) - Competed in two meets during the season... Ran his first collegiate race as a part of the Pack at the Nevada Twilight Classic in the 7k running in 24:51... Ran his first collegiate 8K at the Bronco Invitational in a time of 25:01.

HIGH SCHOOL - Went to Kamiak High School in Mukilteo, Washington... Competed in cross country and track and field all four years... Won the league title in cross country individually and as a team in 2021... Earned Wesco Cross Country honorable mention in 2019... Wesco cross country first team 2020-2021... Wesco first team in the 1600m in 2022... Wesco first team in the 3200m in 2022 for track and field... Apart of the Knowledge Bowl... 

PERSONAL - Son of Luke and Michelle Hammons... Has a brother Mason and a sister Ashlyn.. Mother Michelle ran cross country and track and field at Pacific Lutheran University... Chose Nevada because he loves the Reno-Tahoe area and he felt like he would mesh well with the team dynamics... Was being recruited by Colorado State, Gonzaga, UC Colorado Springs, and Boise State... Conner Mantz is his sports hero ... Most memorable experience of his career was winning the league title as a team and individually during his senior year of cross country ... Enjoys hiking, watching sports, and being outside in his free time.
