ERIE, Colo. - Nevada Men's Golf was tied for 11th on the team leaderboard when play was suspended midway through the second round Monday at the Mark Simpson Colorado Invitational.
Golfers were called off the course at 4:30 p.m. MT due to lightning, and continued heavy rain led to play being called for the day at 5:45 p.m. MT. Tuesday, the remainder of the second round will continue at 7:30 p.m. MT and will continue directly into the final round.
Keita Okada is tied for 17th among all players at even par, after a first-round 69 and sitting at one-over through 12 holes of his second round. Okada overcame a double bogey on his back nine in his opening round, getting three birdies to come in at one-under.
Peyton Callens shot even par in the first round, and was two-over with six holes remaining in his second round when play was called. In his opening round, Callens came into his final hole, the par-5 No. 12, at two-over, and carded an eagle 3 to finish the round at even par.
The Pack climbed two spots following its opening-round 286 (+6), and sits at four-over in its second round. On the team leaderboard, Nevada is tied for 11th, with Kansas City, at +10.
Connor Motherway carded a 73 in his opening round, while 
Michael Sarro came in at 74. 
Trey Davis, after an opening-round 76, was at one-under for his second round, through 10 holes, when play was suspended.
Tom Patterson, competing as an individual entry, shot 77 in his opening round.
