RENO, Nev. -Â Nevada's
Trey Davis sits atop the leaderboard of the Wolf Pack Classic at Hidden Valley Country Club, as the first day of the event was suspended due to darkness late into the second round Monday.
Davis battled through strong winds to fire an even-par 72 in Monday's opening round to get into a tie for ninth, and, at the time of the suspension of play, sat at 3-under with four holes remaining in his second round. The senior holds a one-stroke lead over New Mexico's Bastien Amat, as the field played through weather which reached highs of just the mid-40s and featured occasional short bursts of light snow.
Current standings are unofficial, as completed scorecards were not turned in nor confirmed to officially end the round.
Second-round play will resume at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, weather pending. Play will be continuous, with players immediately beginning the third and final round upon conclusion of the second.
Through one full round of play, Nevada's "Silver" team of Davis,
