SOPHOMORE (2021-22) -- Season stats -- Appeared in one tournament, the Wolf Pack Classic and shot a career-low 80 during the third and final round... Made one birdie, no eagles, and 22 pars.

FRESHMAN (2020-21) -- Did not compete in any events during his freshman season.

HIGH SCHOOL -- Attended Bellarmine College Prep in northern California where he was a three-time letter-winner in golf … Helped his team capture three tournament titles, including back-to-back West Catholic Athletic League (WCAL) Championships in 2018 and 2019 … Claimed the 2019 Central Coast Section title … Outside of high school play he also claimed first place finishes on the junior golf circuit, winning at FCWT Teal Bend and JTNC San Juan Oaks … Finished in the runner-up spot at FCWT Haggin Oaks.

PERSONAL -- Son of Jennifer and David Steck … Majoring in business and would like to go into finance or law enforcement after college … His father, David, played collegiate soccer at Purdue … Chose Nevada because of the campus, classes offered and the strength of the men’s golf program … Also recruited by San Jose State and Colorado … Lists Rickey Henderson as his sports hero … The most memorable moment of his pre-Nevada career was getting a hole in one at Olympic Club … Enjoys cooking, watching sports and buying and selling stocks in his free time.
