BREMERTON, Wash. – The Nevada men's golf team earned a third place finish at the Husky Invitational after the final round was canceled due to heavy rain in the area.
The Wolf Pack placed third in the 15-team field after a strong second round on Monday that moved the team up four spots on the leaderboard. Nevada carded the low team score of the second round at 9-under par, which is the final score the Pack finishes at. Tournament host Washington won the rain shortened event at 22-under, while Long Beach State took runner-up honors at 13-under.
Senior
Sam Meek earned his first top five of the season, tying for fifth place at 5-under par. Fellow senior
Tony Gil also notched a top 15 finish as he tied for 11
th at 3-under. Nevada had two, senior

Cam Kellett, tie for 24
th place, while sophomore
Trey Davis tied for 38
th in the 78-player field.
Newcomer
Peyton Callens, also competing this week as an individual, tied for fifth in the nearby Olympic College Invitational at 2-over par.
Nevada will return to the course next Monday when it hosts Oregon State for the Wolf Pack Shootout at Montreux Country Club.
