RENO, Nev. – The Nevada men's golf team returns to the golf course for the third time this fall at the Alister MacKenzie Invitational this Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 9-10.
 
"The Meadow Club is a world class golf course and with that Cal's event hosts a high quality field," said head coach Jacob Wilner. "Our guys are anxious to tee it up Monday and Tuesday."
 
The two-day event, which is hosted by California, beings Monday with the first 36 holes. The final 18 will be held on Tuesday. The Meadow Club will play at a par of 71 at 6,734 yards. This is Nevada's third time participating in the event, having competed in 2012 and 2015.
 
Redshirt junior Jooho Lee was the top Wolf Pack finisher in this event back in 2015, placing in the top 20 with a score of 6-under par. It will be a tough field that Nevada will go up against, with the likes of Cal, Minnesota, Oregon State, Washington, and Mountain West foes Fresno State, San Diego State and San Jose State.
 
Lee will go for Nevada again at this event in the coming days, looking for a repeat performance of his last showing at this tournament. Also scheduled to compete for the Wolf Pack this week are seniors Grant Booth and Corey Eddings, junior Sam Harned and freshman Joey Vrzich. Booth currently leads the team with a scoring average of 72.3 through two events and ranks second with 20 birdies.
