Palm Springs, Calif. - The Nevada Men's Golf team wrapped up play for the week in today's final round at The Prestige hosted by UC Davis/Stanford at PGA West Norman Course.
Leading the way for the Pack on the final day was
Liam Gobin, who played solidly all day, posting a one under-par 70 that included five birdies, the most for any Wolf Pack player on the day. His final round 70 put him in a 65th (72-77-70=219), jumping 23 spots up the leaderboard on the round.
The next best for the Pack on the final day was a tie between
Supakit (Oak) Seelanagae and
Jonathan Kim, who both posted three over-par 74's. Seelanagae's was an up and down round that included three birdies and placed him in 61st (72-72-74=218), whilst Kim's was a little more steady with one birdie offset by three bogies (76-80-74=230).
Ben Ortwein rounded out his tournament with a round of four over-par 75, that included two birdies on the front, getting him out in even-par 36, but struggled on the back, eventually placing in 54th (74-68-75=217). Rounding out the Pack on the day was Sophomore
Aaron Leach who posted a six over-par 77 that included two birdies. Leach finished in 86th (72-73-77=222).
At The Prestige Individual Tournament,
Rishi Gupta played a solid last round that inlcuded two birdies offset by five bogies to post a 75 (+3) and maintain his place in 21st (75-78-75=228). Rounding out the Pack representation in the individual tournament was
Ryan Sear, who posted a final round 78 (+6) that included three birdies. Sear finished the tournament at +27 (78-87-78=243).
The Pack's next outing will be at the General James Hackler Championship hosted by Coastal Carolina, March 16-18 in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
