Box Score SAN DIEGO, Calif. – A day after making history with the program's first-ever win at San Diego State, the Nevada volleyball team decided to make it a win streak.

The Wolf Pack swept the Aztecs for the season, blanking SDSU 3-0 on Saturday afternoon at Aztec Court at Peterson Gym, 25-21, 25-22 and 25-13.

The win pushed Nevada's record to 3-5 on the season while San Diego State fell to 3-5. The Wolf Pack has a pair of road matches coming up next week at San José State on Friday and Saturday. After starting the season 0-4, the Pack has won three of its last four matches.

The result marked Nevada's first three-game sweep of an opponent since sweeping Air Force 3-0 on Nov. 9, 2019. The two-match win streak is Nevada's first since beating Utah State and Boise State back-to-back in 2019.

The two-match sweep this season of SDSU marked Nevada's first-ever two-match season-sweep of the Aztecs.

Nevada hit .283 for the match with five players recording at least six kills and a trio –
Sydney Petersen,
Kassie McGill and
Brianna Souza – leading the way with seven each. Nevada recorded eight service aces, including three from
Reka Monteleone and two from
Kaila Spevak.Â

The Pack dominated at the net with 14 team blocks, with Souza and McGill leading the way with seven each. Sophomore
Andrea Alcaraz recorded 26 assists in Saturday's sweep.
