Box Score SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Nevada Volleyball played their second of three games at the Sacramento State Invitational, Friday, losing in three sets (31-29, 25-19, 25-20) to Saint Mary's.
The Pack and Gaels shared runs early in set one, going on four and five point runs respectively, with Nevada heading into the media timeout at 15-14. The Pack had two late set points in a back and forth end to the set, eventually falling 31-29.Â
Set two was kicked off by a couple of runs from the Gaels, with the Pack heading into the media timeout down 15-10. That momentum rode through to a 25-19 set win for the Gaels.Â
Both teams once again traded runs in the third, with a tight start tied 5-5, and then later 18-18, before the Gaels ended the game with a seven point run 25-20.Â
Paige Thies led the Wolf Pack offense with five kills while adding four digs and two blocks.Â
Ceren Sert paced Nevada at the net with a match-high six blocks and chipped in three kills while hitting .250.Â
Keely Hummel directed the offense with 13 assists and added seven digs.Â
Summer Suppik led the back row with 12 digs, whileÂ
Madison Long contributed five blocks in the match.
