RENO, Nev. – After a tough loss to in-state rival UNLV, the Pack looks to host New Mexico in Virginia Street Gym on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 1:00 p.m. PT.
At the intermission of the match, Nevada will be recognizing the 1998 NCAA Tournament team, the first in school history to reach the tournament. The team finished 22-7 overall with a 12-4 record in the Big West under head coach Devin Scruggs.

Nevada enters the weekend 8-16 overall and 1-12 in conference where the Lobos sit just about .500 with an overall record of 13-12 and a Mountain West record of 7-5. The Lobos are coming off a five-set loss to San Jose State.
In Thursday's match against UNLV, the Pack saw a career high kills from
Sam Hayward and a double-digit effort from
Kayla Afoa. Hayward also lead the team in hitting percentage while recording the 16 kill match. Senior,
Mo Maluotoga notched a solid 21 digs while setters
Dalyn Burns and
McKayla Wuensch split time and each picked up 20 plus assists.
Lauren Twitty leads the Lobos in kills with 339 and a 3.42 kill per set average, which is also fifth in the Mountain West for kills. Joining Twitty on the offense is Tai Bierra who has 299 kills on the year, second on the team, and the next best average with 3.05 a set.
In the Mountain West, Nevada edges out New Mexico in assists, kills, aces and digs while the Lobos sit higher in blocks.
Following this contest, the Pack have two more home matches on the season. Nevada will host San Jose State on Tuesday, Nov. 6 at 6:30 p.m. PT and Air Force on Thursday, Nov. 8 also at 6:30 p.m. PT.
