Shultse leads the way as Pack sit tenth through 36 at the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic

Maricopa, Ariz. - Nevada Women's Golf opened the Wyoming Cowgirl Classic, Tuesday, posting a 36 hole total of 591 (+15) to sit in 10th place heading into the final round.

Anna Shultse led the way for the Wolf Pack on day one, posting a two round total of 74-71=145 (+1), highlighted by six birdies over the first 36 holes, with four of those coming on the front nine of round two. Shultse sits in the top 10 for par four scoring and heads into the final round in 16th place.

Coco Kolbas was the next best performer for the Pack on day one, posting a two round total of 148 (+4). Kolbas started the tournament off hot, making three birdies offset by two bogies to post a round one score of one under-par 71. Kolbas struggled to keep the bogies off the card in round two, however, still making three birdies to post a five over-par 77.

Gabby Kano and Marina Nonaka both posted two round totals of 149 (+5) on day one. Gabby Kano played consistent golf over the first 36 holes, making 14 pars in each round, and making one birdie in each round. Kano posted rounds of 74 (+2) and 75 (+3) and will look to add some birdie firepower in tomorrow's final round. Marina Nonaka found more steady golf in the afternoon on day one, following her morning 76 (+4) up with an afternoon 73 (+1) that included two birdies offset by three late bogies. Nonaka made two birdies in each round and will look for more of her afternoon form in tomorrow's final round as the pair sit in 44th place.

Rounding out the Pack starting five was Amy Na, who posted rounds of 80 (+8) and 81 (+9) on day one. Na made five birdies across the two rounds but will look for a cleaner scorecard tomorrow to find a counting score and creep up the leaderboard.

The Pack will return for the final round of their regular season tomorrow at 7:30am.
