RENO, Nev. - Nevada Athletics and head women's golf coach Kathleen Takaishi have announced the hiring of Logan Miyamoto as the new assistant coach for the Wolf Pack women's program.
"I am thrilled to welcome Logan Miyamoto to the Wolf Pack," said Coach Takaishi, "Logan brings profound knowledge of the game and a deep understanding to course management. Combined with his work ethic he is going to be an incredible asset to our program. Our players are going to love learning from him."
Miyamoto joins the Pack from Charleston Southern where he served as the assistant men's and women's golf coach for one year. He also has experience caddying on the LPGA and Epson Tours and interned with Titleist (Acushnet Golf) as a golf ball fitter. Miyamoto has held key roles in youth development and golf operations, including serving as an academic support specialist with First Tee Orange County and worked in outside golf operations at Navy MWR Golf Course in southern California for six years.
Miyamoto played collegiate golf at Cal State Dominguez Hills, where he was a four year letter winner as well as a four time CCAA All-Academic Team member.
