RENO, Nev. - Nevada Men's Cross Country announced the signing of two additions to the men's squad for the 2025 season in Joseph, Oregon native Jett Leavitt and Sacramento, California native Mateo Delgadillo.
Hailing out of Joseph High School, Leavitt was the 2025 OSAA 1A 3000m and 1500m state champion with times of 8:30.97 and 3:58.93. Leavitt was also the 2024 OSAA 1A state champion in the 3000m with a time of 8:55.He also placed 2nd at the OSAA 3A State Cross Country Championships in 2023 and 2024, along with a 30th place finish at NXR Northwest in the Boys Championship 5k racing with a time of 15:37.3. He will be joining the Pack as a Freshman.
Joining Leavitt in the 2025 signing class is Mateo Delgadillo, a Colorado State University transfer. Last season Delgadillo ran in four meets, logging two top-25 finishes. He placed 24th at the Wyoming Invite, eighth at the Colorado Springs XC Open and placed 50th at the 2024 Mountain West Championship. Prior to Colorado State, Delgadillo time at Whitney High School was capped by his 15th place finish at the 2023 CIF State Cross Country Championships in Division two with a time of 15:33.1. He will join the Pack as a Junior with a personal best of 14:30.11 in the 5000m.
The pair are the first signees for the men's squad joining the 2025-26 class.
