Lihue, Hawai'i - The Nevada Women's Golf team kicked off play at the Rainbow Wahine Invitational Monday, posting a stellar first round team total of 284 (-4). The Pack ranked third in the field for birdies in round one, taking plenty of positives into tomorrow's round two. 

Coco Kolbas led the way for the Wolf Pack, posting a three under-par 69, making four birdies and one bogey on the day. Kolbas heads into the second round in 6th place. 

Also making four birdies on the day was Gabby Kano, who posted a first round score of one under-par 71. Kano showed tremendous fight, overcoming a three over through six start, staying clean for the rest of the round. Kano sits in 17th heading into round two. 

The final two counting scores for round one came from Nikki Chindavong and Anna Shultse, who both posted even-par rounds of 72. Chindavong's round included four birdies offset by two bogies and a double, whilst Shultse's round included three birdies and three bogies. The pair sit tied for 22nd heading into round two. 

Rounding out the Pack starting fives scores was Marina Nonaka, who struggled in round one, posting an eleven over-par round of 83. Nonaka made two birdies on the day but will look to clean up her card tomorrow. 

The Pack are back in action in the aloha state tomorrow for round two.
