Jonathan Kim posted his best round of the tournament with a -1 (70), including five birdies offset by four bogies, a strong performance on Tuesday's final round of The Tindall at Aldarra Golf Club, as Nevada Men's Golf closed out their second event of the season.Â
The Pack finished 13th in the 14 team field, finishing at +26 (296-289-293=878).
The best performance for the tournament came from
Supakit (Oak) Seelanagae, who had a great second round 68 (-3) that included three birdies and a stunning eagle two on the 340-yard par four 17th. Seelanagae would finish the tournament tied for 40th at +3 (75-68-73=216). Also in that tie for 40th was
Aaron Leach, in his first time out in the starting lineup, who posted rounds of 69-75-72=216.Â
Ben Ortwein showed signs of his great play in the second round, posting a 69 that included three birdies and one bogey. Ortwein struggled in the last round and finished in a tie for 65th (72-69-83=224). Following was
Jonathan Kim, who posted rounds of 80-77-70=227. Rounding out the Wolf Pack was
Liam Gobin who finished the tournament at +23.Â
Nevada is back on the course in two weeks, in California, for the Alistair Mackenzie Invitational from Oct. 7-8.
