Davis, Calif. - Nevada Men's Golf concluded play at the El Macero Classic, Sunday, finishing in third place at +12 following a final round 298 (+10) in very tricky conditions where the field scoring average was 75.84. 

Riki Matsumoto and Liam Gobin fired the best rounds of the day for the Pack on day three, matching eachother for the third day in a row with one over-par rounds of 73. The pair struggled on the front nine, going out in two and three over-par respectively, but both finding momentum on the back nine. Matsumoto birdied both par fives on the way in, offset by one bogey to post a one under-par 35. Gobin made two birdies and two bogies on the back, capping the nine off with an eagle at the par five 18th, to post a two under-par 34. The pair finished in a tie for 7th place at two over-par. 

Ben Ortwein and Aaron Leach also matched eachother for the second day in a row, both posting final rounds of four over-par 76's. Ortwein made five birdies in his final round but struggled to keep the bogies off the card in difficult conditions. Leach made four birdies on his inward nine to post an even-par 36. Ortwein finished in 30th at seven over-par, whilst Leach finished in 45th at nine over-par. 

Freshman Monte Chumchaivate closed out the best performance of his early collegiate career, posting a final round of five over-par 77. Chumchaivate made 15 pars in the final round but failed to find any momentum in relation to birdies, finishing the tournament in a career best 12th place, at three over-par. 

The Pack will return in three weeks time for the Mountain West Championships in Tucson, Arizona.
