Pullman, Wash. - Nevada Men's Golf had a difficult 36-hole day at the season-opening Palouse Collegiate, finishing the day in 13th on the team leaderboard.
The Wolf Pack sat 12th in the 15-team field after a first-round team score of 283 and despite valiant second-rounds of 69 and 70 from
Ben Ortwein and
Jonathan Kim, Nevada posted a 284 to fall into 13th at -1 (283-284=567).
Individually, the day was highlighted by
Ben Ortwein and
Jonathan Kim, who were the top members of the Pack Tuesday, coming in at -5. Ortwein posted rounds of 68 and 69, while, Kim posted a 67 and 70, both sitting in a tie for 11th.Â
Liam Gobin played steady golf all day posting rounds of 71 and 72 for a +1 total.
Oak Seelanagae shot a 73 in the afternoon, improving his first-round score by four strokes, and is at +8.
Ryan Sear rounds out the lineup at +19 (85-76=161).
Freshman Sloan Heggeler, competing as an individual entry, is at + (74-77=151).
The Pack are back tomorrow for Tuesday's final round and will tee off at 7:45 a.m. PT.
