RENO, Nev. - Nevada Men's Golf head to Tucson, Arizona this weekend, to compete at the Credit Union 1 Mountain West Men's Golf Championships.
The championships return to OMNI Tucson National for the first time since 2023, Head Coach
Trake Carpenter's first year with the Wolf Pack. The Pack enter the Mountain West Championships ranked 108th in the country, with four top fives this season, highlighted by a win at The Watney hosted by Fresno State in March. Individually,
Ben Ortwein is the best nationally ranked player, notching three top 15's this season.
The starting lineup for the Wolf Pack will consist of
Ben Ortwein,
Riki Matsumoto,
Jonathan Kim,
Monte Chumchaivate and
Liam Gobin with
Aaron Leach traveling as an alternate. The Pack will head into the championships ranked sixth best in the conference and will be paired up with San José State and Grand Canyon in Sunday's first round.
Nevada's tee times will kick off at 8 a.m. tomorrow, led by
Liam Gobin playing in the number five slot.
