Nevada’s Kasey Hogan selected for Team Australia’s AVC Challenge Cup

RENO, Nev. – Nevada Volleyball's Kasey Hogan has been named to the Volleyball Australian Limited National Team apart of the Australian Volleyroos that will be competing at the AVC Challenge Cup May 22-29 at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Manila, Philippines.
 
 This event will serve as a qualification tournament for the 2024 FIVB Volleyball Challenger Cups, with the eventual champions in the event securing their berths this July. The winners of the FIVB Challenger Cup will have the opportunity to progress to the 2025 Volleyball Nations League.
 
Australian's women have been grouped in Pool A in the AVC Challenge Cup alongside the tournament hosts along with Chinese Taipei, India, and Iran.
 
Hogan, a native of Proserpine, Australia, graduated from Proserpine State High School and was named to the QLD Pirates Australian Volleyball Super League team for the Australian Open Age Championships in 2019. She also represented the Canberra Heat from 2022-23. Hogan, who did not see any action during her freshman season at Nevada, will look to be a key outside hitter for the Pack during the 2024-25 season.
