RENO, Nev. - Nevada volleyball closed out its home invite Saturday afternoon, falling in straight sets to CSU Bakersfield.

Late in the opening set, down five, the Pack went on two major scoring runs to come within two and later tie the set. Despite the surge, Nevada couldn't hold off CSU Bakersfield, dropping the first, 27-25.
The second set began with the Roadrunners scoring the first three points, but the Pack quickly closed the gap and eventually took the lead. After going back-and-forth through the entire second, Nevada found itself down by one as CSU Bakersfield was at set point. The Pack couldn't take over, falling in the second, 25-23.
Nevada struggled through the third set, quickly getting behind and unable to build a comeback. The Pack ultimately fell in three straight after dropping the third, 25-14.
Nevada will next hit the road again to compete in the 2025 EVEN Hotel Bobcat Classic, hosted by Montana State, taking on the host team on Sept. 18 and Santa Clara the following day.
