RENO, Nev. – Nevada swimmer,
Frederica Kizek, was named to College Sports Communicators (CSC) Women's Swimming and Diving Academic All-America Second Team, announced Monday.

Academic All-American is a title reserved for student-athletes who perform at an elite level in their sport and in the classroom.
Â
As a graduate student, Kizek earned a 4.00 GPA working towards a master's degree in biotechnology. Kizek qualified for the NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships in the 1650 freestyle, after winning the event and setting a program record at the Mountain West Championships.

This marks the 18
th Nevada student-athlete to be named a CSC Academic All-American and the 21
st CSC Academic All-America honor in Nevada history. Kizek will be the second
Academic All-American in Nevada Swimming & Diving history (
