Nevada Swim & Dive Finishes Strong at Phill Hansel Invitational

HOUSTON, Texas— Nevada Swim and Dive capped off the final day of the Phill Hansel Invitational with a series of standout performances, earning fourth place overall in a competitive field of Division I programs.

Scarlett Ferris led the charge in the 100-yard freestyle, posting a time of 48.00 to set a new Nevada school record. Her swim earned a first-place finish overall and marked a major milestone in her decorated collegiate career. She was joined in the event by teammates Caitlin Wham, who placed in the D Final with a time of 51.75, and Evie Floate, who earned a C Final finish in 52.02

Moji Pholjamjumrus added to the excitement, clocking a time of 1:55.75 in the 200-yard butterfly. That time moves her to second all-time in Nevada history for the event, underscoring her rising impact in the program. She was joined by Sally Vagg, who earned an A Final finish with a time of 1:58.18 to place fourth overall, and Evelyn Wood, who swam to a D Final finish in 2:05.27. Rounding out a strong Wolf Pack presence in the fly.

In the distance events, Huska Batbayar paced Nevada in the 1650-yard freestyle with a 12th-place finish (17:01.17). She was followed by Keira-Lee Allott (17:08.37, 18th), Isabelle Gomez (17:20.80, 22nd), Jennifer Griner (17:41.55, 33rd), and Charollete Berndt (17:45.20, 35th), all contributing to the team's depth in the mile.

Nevada also saw strong swims in the 200 backstroke, highlighted by Molly Von Seggern's B Final finish (1:59.43) and Keira-Lee Allott's D Final swim (2:03.75

The Wolf Pack added more points in the 200 breaststroke, where Henley Kerr earned a C Final finish with a time of 2:17.50 and Sara Mihalic placed in the B Final with 2:20.54.

Nevada closed the meet with a strong relay performance. In the 400-yard freestyle medley relay, the quartet of Pholjamjumrus, Batbayar, Ferris, and Wham combined for a third-place finish in 3:19.31, securing valuable points to lock in Nevada's fourth-place team standing.
