RENO, Nev. – Nevada cross country announced the signing of three more additions to the class of 2024-25 with Aubrey Thompson, Marina Renna, and Paulina Hultberg. The trio will join Natalie Roberts, the first signee announced for next season, along with track and field sprinter Vivian Groppe and jumper Alma Kathan.

Marina Renna // Idaho Falls, Idaho // Skyline High School
Coming from Skyline High School in Idaho Falls, Renna reached her first state track and field meet her junior season in 2023 and collected two medals. She earned fifth place in the 1600 meters and fourth place in the 3200 meters, contributing nine points to Skyline's 4A team state championship. Renna attained personal bests of 5:17.47 in the 1600 and 11:24.39 in the 3200. Her mark in the 3200 was the second-fastest in the district last season.

Aubrey Thompson // Bakersfield, Calif. // Liberty High School
Coming 405 miles from Liberty High School in Bakersfield, Thompson specializes in the distance track events and has personal bests in the 1600 meters (5:12.22), and the 3200 meters (11:06.67). During the cross-country season, Thompson qualified for the CIF Cross Country State Championships with her performance in the 5,000 meters, placing 36
th in a time of 18:28.

"Aubrey is a committed, talented young lady who will add significantly to our program on the track and during cross country. She is an emerging talent having run 11:06.67 for 3200 out of Bakersfield, California's Liberty High School. She has a cross country best of 18:28 over 5000 during the cross-country season."

Paulina Hultberg // Alingsås, Sweden // Mölndals AIK
Specializing in the middle-distance events, Hultberg will come to Reno with experience in both track and field and cross country, with personal records in the 1500 meters (4:33.72) and in the 3000 meters steeplechase (10:42.74). Hultberg's steeplechase mark is just off the top-10 mark on Nevada's all-time list. During the 2023 cross country season, Hultberg secured a 6th place overall finish at the National Junior Championships after just moving up an age class. She will be an important asset on the track as well on the course.

"Paulina is a stellar middle-distance athlete from Sweden who has run 4:33.72 for 1500 and 10:42.74 steeplechase prior to her senior year of high school. She has excellent range performing well from 800 meters to 5000 meters on the track and placing sixth in her national cross-country championships. She will add strength to both our cross country and track and field teams."
