This Week In Wolf Pack Athletics

RENO, Nev. - It's a busy weekend on campus for Nevada Athletics, with plenty of chances for fans and students to see multiple Wolf Pack teams in action.

Nevada Football looks to make it two in a row as it hosts Middle Tennessee at 2 p.m. at Mackay Stadium. Women's Soccer plays its lone match of the week Thursday night, hosting Pacific at 7 p.m. at Mackay Stadium, while Women's Volleyball opens its home slate hosting the Nevada Invitational Thursday through Saturday.

The multi-team volleyball event features Nevada hosting CSU Bakersfield, Eastern Washington, and Pacific, and begins with the Wolf Pack hosting Eastern Washington Thursday at 6 p.m. at Virginia Street Gym.

Men's and Women's Cross Country also return to action, traveling to Ceres, California, for the Kim Duyst Twilight.

Nevada looks to make it a 2-0 home September, hosting Middle Tennessee at 2 p.m. Saturday at Mackay Stadium. The game will be broadcast on Nevada Sports Net and streamed on the Mountain West and the MW App, with Alex Margulies (play-by-play), Lucas Weber (analyst) and Shannon Kelly (sideline) on the call.

The Wolf Pack Radio Network will call the game on KOZZ 105.7 FM in Northern Nevada, online at www.thevarsitynetwork.com and on the Varsity Network app. John Ramey (play-by-play), Mike Edwards (analyst) and Terrence Newman (sideline) will be on the call, with the 60-minute pregame show to begin at 1 p.m.

The Nevada Women's Soccer team is back in action at Mackay Stadium this Thursday, Sept. 11, for a non-conference matchup against Pacific. Kickoff is set for 7:00 p.m. PT.

After a tough road stretch, the Pack is hungry to bounce back and grab a win in front of their home crowd. With conference play just around the corner, Thursday's game is a key opportunity to build momentum and lock in a strong performance on familiar ground.

Nevada volleyball opens up its homestand this week, hosting Eastern Washington, Pacific and CSU Bakersfield in the Nevada Invitational. 

The Pack just returned home from the Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas Classic, where they faced two tough opponents. They look to bounce back and put on a show in front of their home crowd.

This week will be the lone home games before Nevada begins conference play.

The Nevada Cross Country programs head to their second meet of the season this Saturday for Stanislaus State's Kim Duyst Twilight. 

The men will race in the 8k at 8:30 p.m. and the women will race in the 6k at 9 p.m.

The Pack are looking to continue their solid start to the season after finishing 4th (Women) and 7th (Men) at the season opener USF Invitational.
