Larkin earns national recognition from TopDrawerSoccer

RENO, Nev. - Nevada soccer redshirt freshman goalkeeper Ally Larkin received national recognition from TopDrawerSoccer Tuesday.

Larkin, the reigning Mountain West Defensive Player and Freshman of the Week, earned Honorable Mention on TopDrawerSoccer's top performances in women's college soccer. The Puyallup, Washington, native helped Nevada to a 1-0-1 record this past week, collecting her second collegiate shutout against the defending Mountain West champions, San Jose State, in Nevada's 2-0 win Sunday.

The honor by TopDrawerSoccer marks the second consecutive year Nevada has had a player recognized by the organization. Fifth year midfielder Luz Arreaga was listed as one of the top 10 performers in the country following her two goal and one assist performance against Sacramento State (Sept. 4, 2022).

In addition to her performance Sunday, Larkin played an instrumental role in Nevada's 1-1 draw against Fresno State Sept. 28. Being in the net in the last 45 minutes, Larkin came up with a critical penalty kick save in the 88th minute that allowed the Pack to finish the match with a draw.

Larkin currently leads Nevada in saves (35), save percentage (.761), and solo shutouts (2). She is the first freshman goalkeeper to record multiple shutouts in a season for Nevada since 2018 (Kendal Stovall, 3).

TopDrawerSoccer.com is now the official provider of college and club scores for over 100,000 players and 5,000 teams, ranks over 3,000 players, hosts nationwide TDS Unsigned Showcases, and produces the yearly College Soccer Recruiting Guide.

The Pack go back on the road to take on Colorado College Thursday at 5 p.m.
