RENO, Nev. – Nevada's men and women cross country programs are set to compete at the Mountain West Championships Friday, October 27 hosted by Boise State, at Eagle Island State Park in Eagle, Idaho. This meet will mark only the second time Boise State has hosted the championship, the last time being in 2016 in Kuna, Idaho.

The meet will kick off with the men's 8K race at 10:15 a.m. (MT) followed by the women's 6K race scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. (MT). Both races will be broadcasted on the Mountain West Network.

The No. 25
th nationally ranked Colorado State Rams women's team and the No. 26
th nationally ranked Air Force Falcons men's team were selected as the conference favorites heading into the postseason. Of the teams competing in the women's field, only Colorado State is nationally ranked while on the men's side the Falcons are joined by No. 16 New Mexico and No. 23 Boise State. The Pack were picked to finish seventh on the men's side and eighth on the women's.

The championships come just two weeks after the squads saw a successful outing at the UCR Highlander Invitational in Riverside, California. Both teams saw a multitude of personal records, a total of 13 combined, to highlight their last meet of the regular season. The men's squad captured a fourth place finish out of 26 teams while the women placed 12
th in a field of 23 teams. Leading the Pack individually were
Daniel Sayo who came across the finish line in sixth place and
Claire Nelson snagging a 28
th place finish.

Last season, both squads finished seventh overall at the Mountain West Championships, with the women finishing above in-state rival UNLV to help earn the Nevada Wolf Pack three points in the Silver State Series.
