Boardingham makes Nevada all-time list during last day of Washington State Invitational

SPOKANE, WASH. – Saturday saw tons of action from Wolf Pack athletes, which included some personal bests and a new Nevada all-time mark. 

The first big mark of the day was set by senior Naiah Boardingham, who finished the long jump with a distance of 5.92 meters. This mark puts her at 5th all-time at Nevada in the event and fourth currently in the Mountain West. The senior would finish the event in third. This meet was Boardingham's first meet with the Pack, after transferring from Cal State Fullerton.

A big personal best from a Pack athlete was junior Tabatha Walford. The junior finished the mile run with a sixth place time 4:59.35. This time being 25 seconds faster than her old personal best time of 5:24.45. Walford would also finish first in her heat. 

The 3000m run saw four Pack athletes finish right after another. Senior Alexis Melendrez finished the race in fourth with her time of 10:18.04. This time being a new personal best for Melendrez by six seconds. Senior Kate Rye finished in fifth with her mark of 10:24.11. Freshman Marena Middleton finished just behind Rye in sixth with her time of 10:27.85. Middleton beating her personal best by 26 seconds. Wrapping up the group was senior Kalia Pfeffer, who finished in seventh with a time of 10:34.12.  

In the 60m dash prelims, junior Emily Costello just finished outside of qualification with her 11th place time of 7.70. The time being just .06 seconds away from her Nevada seventh all-time mark of 7.64. 

In the 200m dash, sophomore Sarah Marske earned a new personal best with her time of 26.35. This beating out her old personal best of 26.61 that she earned at the University of San Francisco. Sophomore Kylie Burton's time of 26.38 was just .03 behind her personal best.

In the triple jump, two Pack members saw back-to-back finishes. In ninth was freshman Maria Milani, who finished with a distance of 11.83m. Just behind her was junior Gabby Fraser, who finished in 10th with a distance of 11.58m. 

The team will head back to Albuquerque for their second time this season, to compete in the Don Kirby Elite Invitational from Feb. 11-12 .
