RENO, NEV. – Making Wolf Pack history is a pretty good reason to be named Wolf Pack Student-Athlete of the Week, and freshman Tierney Wolfgram did just that.

Wolfgram, who finished second overall in the women's 6k at the NCAA Mountain Regional in Provo, secured a place at the NCAA Nationals in Tallahassee with her time of 20:20.4. This is the first time a Pack member has qualified and will run at Nationals in 40 plus years. All-time at Nevada, the freshman became just the second Pack athlete in history to qualify for Nationals. This is also the highest finish by a Pack member since the new format change at the NCAA level.

For her first cross country season with the Pack, Wolfgram has created one impressive resume. In her first meet of the season, she received a first place finish at the USF Invitational with a time of 20:47.9. Wolfgram also became the first member of the Pack in history to not only run below 20:00 once, but twice in one season. The first time at the Bronco Invitational with her school record time of 19:31.2, and then again at the Mountain West Championships with her time of 19:58.6 This earning her All-Conference second-team honors. 

As mentioned, Wolfgram will be competing and continuing to make history in Tallahassee. The meet will be on Saturday Nov. 20 at 7:20 a.m. PT. This match can be followed through live stats, or  streamed on ESPNU or the ESPN app.
