RENO, Nev. – The Nevada men's golf team hosts the Wolf Pack Classic at Hidden Valley Country Club on Monday and Tuesday.
The Pack last held the Wolf Pack Classic in 2010 and is a 10-time champion of the tournament. Nevada last won the Classic in 2005. In the 2010 event, San Diego won the Wolf Pack Classic Championship. The individual medalists will earn an exemption to play in the 2022 PGA Tour Barracuda Championship.
Nevada is looking to continue its momentum after a comeback win from 17 shots down in the Husky Invitational on Sept. 21.
The Pack is fielding two teams with the quintet of

Peyton Callens,
A.J. Lintunen,
Trey Davis, and
Adam Thorp making up the Nevada Silver team.
Mitch Abbott,
Connor Motherway,
Michael Sarro,
Tom Patterson, and
Sean Minor comprise the Nevada Blue team.
Jack Steck is competing in the Wolf Pack Classic as an individual.
The 14-team field includes hosts Nevada (2 teams), Air Force, BYU, Fresno State, LMU, Long Beach State, New Mexico, Saint Mary's, San Diego, San Francisco, San Jose State, UC Davis, UCLA, and UNLV.
This weekend's event marks the third of 11 scheduled events for the Pack in 2021-22. The Wolf Pack, which has qualified for NCAA Regionals in each of the past three seasons, will break up its 11 events between five events in the fall and six, including the 2022 Mountain West Championship, in the spring.
The action gets underway with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. on Monday, October 11. The teams will play 36 holes of continuous play during the opening day. On Tuesday, October 12, the third and final round begins with a shotgun start at 10 a.m.
