RENO, Nev. -Â Eleven Wolf Pack student-athletes from the skiing, men's golf and women's golf teams were recognized Tuesday with spots on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Men's and Women's At-Large Teams.
The teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in competition and in the classroom. The "At-Large" teams recognize student-athletes from sports which do not have their own academic all-district and all-america teams.
To be eligible for selection to the all-district teams, nominees must have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.50, be at least a sophomore academically, and meet their sport-specific athletic participation criteria.
On the women's side, skiers Charlotte Clément,
Erica Lynch and
Zali Sutton, and women's golfers
Gabby Kano,
Nicole (Coco) Kolbas and
Anna Shultse were recognized. Lynch was selected for the national Academic All-America ballot, with the announcement of the women's team set for July 7.
On the men's side, golfer
