BOISE, Idaho. – The Nevada track and field team took part in the first day of the Ed Jacoby Invitational.
The day started with the pentathlon, which saw sophomore Hanah Smrt compete in the 60 meter hurdles in the first event. Smrt finished the event with a time of 9.33, a personal best for the sophomore. She earned 842 points and a fifth place finish in the event.
Unfortunately, Smrt was no longer able to finish and compete in the pentathlon because of her training plan. She will also not be competing tomorrow in the long jump and the 60m hurdles.
In the weight throw, sophomore Grace Wills earned a personal best with a distance of 14.34m. Her distance put her in 18th in the event.
The Pack looks to have a busy schedule tomorrow as it continues the Ed Jacoby Invitational starting with the long jump at 9 a.m. PST.
