Reno, Nev. - Nevada Track and Field will kick off the 2025-26 season by hosting the Silver State Invitational and Combined Events this Thursday through Saturday, December 4-6. The meet will be held at the Reno-Tahoe Indoor Track at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. This will be the second season at the Reno-Tahoe Indoor Track, one of the fastest tracks in the nation.
The squad is coming off a solid 2024-25 indoor campaign, where the Pack had four finalists on the track, and two fourth place finishes in triple jump and pentathlon at the Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championships.Â
Magdalene George highlighted the Pack's conference performances, winning two medals in the 60m and 200m. The squad will be looking to build off last year's success, beginning with the indoor season, where the Pack will compete at six regular season meets, all at home, capped off by the Mountain West Indoor Track and Field Championships, which will be held at the Reno-Tahoe Indoor Track.Â
Thursday's events will include the Women's Pentathlon and Men's Heptathlon, Friday will continue the Men's Heptathlon and begin the field and distance events, including throws and jumps. Track events will also begin on Friday, with the heats rolling into the prelims and finals on Saturday.Â
