RENO, Nev. – Just two days removed from its last competition, the Nevada men's golf team wastes no time in getting back on the course as it will compete in the Hoakalei CC Invitational next week.
 
The three-day, 54-hole event will begin on Monday from Hoakalei Country Club in Ewa Beach, Hawai'i. The course will play at a par of 72 and at 7,248 yards. This is Nevada's first time competing in this event and its first trip to Hawai'i since the spring of 2014 season.
 
The Wolf Pack has had a busy fall season thus far, competing in a total of five events before this fall finale. Nevada enters next week's tournament boasting a team scoring average of 284.92, which is on pace to set the single season record. The Pack had one of its best outings of the season earlier this week when it collected a third place finish at the Visit Stockton Pacific Invitational at 11-under par.
 
Head coach Jacob Wilner will send five to compete in Hawai'i next week, all five of whom have played in at least three of the team's five events. Four of the five have participated in all five tournaments this fall, including senior Sam Harned whose stroke average dropped below 70 this week. Harned notched a tie for the runner-up spot in Stockton, Calif. earlier this week, finishing the event at 9-under par. Along with Harned, seniors Tony Gil and Sam Meek, and sophomores Trey Davis and Peyton Callens will tee it up for the Pack next week.
