RENO, Nev. – After back-to-back postseason berths, the Nevada softball team reported for practice on Wednesday, January 16. The Pack will be looking to make it's third appearance postseason and contend for a Mountain West Championship.
In total, Nevada has 53 games scheduled for the upcoming season, including 24 contests prior to the start of conference play. The Pack will also square up against a trio of Power-5 opponents and eight teams that participated in the 2018 NCAA Tournament.
Nevada returns three of its five All-Conference players from a year ago, including juniors Kenzi Goins and Sierra Mello as well as sophomore Lauren Gutierrez. The Pack also welcomes six newcomers on its 2019 roster, all of whom will look to make an impact for the upcoming season.
The Pack starts its season on the road in Sacramento, Calif. for a split tournament with UC Davis and Sacramento State hosting before continuing on to Houston, Texas for the Houston Classic.
Nevada opens home and conference play at the same time when the Pack hosts the Utah State Aggies in a three-game series on March 15, 16 and 17.
