RENO, Nev.  – The Nevada cross country team travels to Springfield, Ore. this week to race in the Dellinger Invitational, hosted by the University of Oregon.

The race will include runners from the University of Oregon, the University of Portland, University of California, Davis, and Seattle University. Oregon and Portland are both nationally-ranked programs, with Oregon sitting at number four and Portland at number 28.

"I am excited to have our team tested by two national ranked teams," said head coach
Kirk Elias. "Oregon is loaded and Portland is a very solid, deep squad. They are great challenges."

The Wolf Pack is currently sitting at number six in the Mountain Region, and received two votes in the national poll for the second week in a row. The last time the Pack received votes in back-to-back national polls was in 2003.

The 6,000 meter race will begin at 10:30 a.m., and will be held at the Springfield Golf Course. The entire course will be on grass, with most of it being relatively flat.
