SAN FRANCISCO, Calif.  – The Wolf Pack women's cross country team finished second at the USF Invitational in San Francisco, Calif. The squad's team score of 66 put them ahead of nationally ranked teams in the University of California and the University of San Francisco. Stanford won the race with a team score of 24, Cal took third with 85 and USF took fourth with 90.

Leading the charge for the Pack was junior
Lindsey Adams, who finished fifth with a time of 21:21.6. Junior
Hiley Dobbs was next with a time of 21:33.8 that landed her a seventh place finish. Right on her tail was junior
Cora Gallop with a time of 21:47.1

Carli Corpus came in at 16 with a time of 22:07.2. Rounding out the Wolf Pack's racers were juniors
Katarina Stashyn finishing 29 with a time of 22:46.6 and
Shannon Palladino at 33 with a time of 22:58.8.

"We ran very solidly," head coach
Kirk Elias said. "They executed the race plan and reacted to change. It opened up much slower than most, but we did a great job adjusting to that to put us in a good position late."

California was recently ranked 20 in the US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches' preseason poll. USF came in at 30, and Stanford took home the number three spot.

Next up for the Wolf Pack is a trip to Eugene Ore. on Sept. 21 for the Dellinger Invitational.
