RENO, Nev.  – The Nevada cross country team travels to San Francisco this week for its first race of the season on Saturday.
 
"This is the start of a very exciting season," says head coach Kirk Elias. "With a great group of veterans back, a talented transfer, and a good group of freshmen, this squad is headed for some big things."
 
The Wolf Pack returns Lindsey Adams, Morgin Coonfield, Hiley Dobbs, Cora Gallop and Stefanie Ortega, all of whom sit in the top 10 of the Nevada 6,000 meter all-time list.
 
Saturday's 6,000 meter race will be held at Speedway Meadow in Golden Gate Park. The grass and dirt loop is a 2,000 meter oval.
 
The race begins at 10 a.m., and up-to-the-minute results will be available at nevadawolfpack.com/xcls
