Nevada women's swimming and diving junior Donna dePolo has been selected as the January Wolf Pack Student-Athlete of the Month.
The Reno, Nev. is currently studying Physics and has posted a 3.92 cumulative GPA while being a member of the Honors College. dePolo is also doing research work with a physics professor in radio astronomy, studying data reduction for black holes. When she is not in the pool or studying, dePolo spends time as a learning assistant in the Physics department.
Ranks fourth in the Mountain West in both the 100 and 200 breast, after swimming NCAA 'B' cut times in both events at the Phill Hansel Invite. Along with her individual success, she has helped lead the team to an undefeated first semester in duals, going 5-0 with key wins over Boise State, UNLV and Fresno State.
