University of Nevada Athletics

Throughout the month of March, the sophomore has moved up or improved her time on the Nevada all-time list for three different events. For the outdoor 400 meter dash, Costello first improved her time to 55.30 at the Sacramento Tri-Meet, but would improve her time at the Texas Relays with her mark of 55.07.

At the UNLV Invitational, Costello moved up on the all-time list in two events. She moved from 10th to sixth all-time in the outdoor 100m dash with a time of 11.73. The sophomore would then move up from fourth to second all-time in the outdoor 200m dash with a time of 23.93. 

This month has also seen two first place finishes from Costello. One came at the Sacramento State Tri-Meet with her time of 55.30 in the 400m dash. The other first place finish was at the Bobcat Invitational in the 200m dash with a time of 23.95.  This time being only .02 seconds behind her personal best. 

Costello has also been having success in the classroom. The sophomore is a Community Health Sciences major with a specialization in Kinesiology and holds a 3.87 cumulative GPA. Her goal is to enter graduate school for Physical Therapy after completing her Bachelor's degree.
