Claudia Herrero, a senior on the Nevada women’s tennis team, has been named the Nevada Student-Athlete of the Month for April.

A native of Salamanca, Spain, Herrero is second on the Pack with seven singles victories in dual matches, all coming from court No. 1. In doubles, the senior has paired with teammate Blaga Delic to post a 9-2 record this spring. The tandem has been ranked as high as 52 in the country by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association.

Herrero also excels in the classroom, holding a commendable 3.6 GPA in international business with an emphasis in finance. After graduation, Claudia plans to continue her education and pursue an MBA.
