Kolbas leads Pack efforts in San Francisco

San Francisco, Calif. - Nevada Women's Golf played 36 holes, Monday, to kick competition off at the Juli Inkster Invitational hosted by San Jose State at TPC Harding Park. It was a tough first round for all players in the field on day one, with the scoring average 75.46 for the opening 36 holes.

Coco Kolbas led Pack efforts through 36 holes, posting a two-round total of one over-par with a round one 73 and round two 72. Kolbas sits second in the field for birdies, making ten total through 36 holes. Kolbas will look for a few less bogeys tomorrow in an attempt to move from eighth, into the top five.

Freshman Hannah Stouder showed glimpses of her potential on day one, posting a two round total of four over-par, opening with a 76 and posting an even-par second round of 72. Stouder's second round 72 was highlighted by four birdies, three of those coming on her inward nine (front nine). Stouder jumped 24 places up the leaderboard following her strong second round and will look to creep into the top 20 in tomorrows final round.

Anna Shultse posted the third best two round total for the Pack, shooting rounds of 77 (+5) and 76 (+4) in rounds one and two. Shultse failed to make a birdie in round one but made two on the outward nine of her second round. Shultse will look for a cleaner final round tomorrow to make a move up the leaderboard from her current position, 55th.

The final Pack member that counted in both rounds was Gabby Kano, posting a two round total of 12 over-par with rounds of 79 (+7) and 77 (+5) on day one. Kano did a good job keeping big numbers off the scorecard but will look for more birdie firepower tomorrow, after making just three in the first 36 holes. Kano sits in 63rd at +12 heading into the final round.

Rounding out the Pack starting five was Amy Na, who struggled to keep big numbers off the card through the first 36 holes, sitting at 18 over-par following rounds of 79 and 83. Na did make three birdies on the day and will look to clean things up in the final round, sitting in 75th.

The Pack will return to action at TPC Harding Park tomorrow for the final round, teeing off at 8:25am.
