RENO, Nev. – The Nevada Men's Basketball team is set to return to the national spotlight this Thanksgiving as they compete in the Acrisure Holiday Classic, hosted at the Acrisure Arena in Palm Desert, California. The Wolf Pack will open tournament play on Thursday, November 27, against Washington at 1:30 p.m. PT, with the game airing live on CBS Sports Network.
The matchup marks a key early-season opportunity for the Pack to test itself against power conference competition. Nevada, which finished the 2024-25 season with a 17-16 record, looks to bounce back and re-establish itself among the nation's top mid-major programs under head coach Steve Alford. The Acrisure Holiday Classic features a competitive four-team field including Nevada, Washington, Colorado, and San Francisco, and is part of the larger Acrisure Series—one of the largest multi-team events in college basketball.
Nevada will play a second game on Friday, November 28, against either Colorado or San Francisco, depending on the result of Thursday's games. That matchup will be televised on truTV, giving fans back-to-back chances to watch the Wolf Pack on national television over the holiday weekend.
The Acrisure Series continues to grow in prestige, attracting top-tier programs and providing national exposure in a showcase setting. With a blend of returning talent and new additions to the roster, Nevada is poised to make a statement in Palm Desert as it builds toward Mountain West Conference play.
Fans making the trip to Southern California can enjoy four days of college hoops in the heart of the Coachella Valley. Those tuning in from home can follow all the action on CBS Sports Network and truTV.
