The Nevada season ends with 75-69 loss at Auburn in NIT Quarterfinals

AUBURN, Ala. - Nevada (24-13) season ended after dropping the matchup against Auburn in the quarterfinals of the National Invitational Tournament on Wednesday evening.

After a slow start in the first half of the game, the Pack came out short with a 75-69 loss against the Tigers.

The Pack shot an efficient 46 percent from the field, 35 percent from three, and 71 percent at the free-throw line.

Elijah Price led the offense with his 12th double-double of the season, finishing with 22 points and 11 rebounds while tying his career high in scoring. Vaughn Weems added 15 points, and Corey Camper Jr. chipped in 13, as both made their presence felt with double-digit performances.

Auburn, led by four players in double figures, finished shooting 49 percent overall, 25 percent from beyond the arc, and 64 percent from the line.

Defensively, Price anchored the paint with four blocks, while Tayshawn Comer had two steals.

First Half:
Nevada struggled at the start of the game, with Auburn putting up an eight-point lead.
The Pack cut the deficit to four points on a made second-chance layup by Peyton White.
The Tigers used a strong run to build a 16-point lead, 30-14, forcing the Pack to call a timeout.
Nevada went on a run to cut the deficit to 32-24 after a Vaughn Weems layup.
The Pack was unable to continue the run, as the Tigers closed the half with a 38-26 score.

Second Half:
Auburn continued to control the game at the start of the second half.
Nevada went on a run, cutting the deficit to eight points after a driving layup made by Weems.
The Pack kept fighting, as they put a drive to cut the deficit to six points.
Despite battling until the final minute, Nevada fell just short in a 75–69 loss to Auburn Tigers in the Quarterfinals of the National Invitation Tournament.
